This package has coverage of all major destinations such as Kathmandu valley, Chitwan National Park, Lumbini, Tansen and Pokhara. This package gives you an opportunity to explore different dimensions of Nepal in detail. Like, culture, people, their lifestyle, art, craft, religion, adventure, wildlife and natural beauty of Nepal.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 1 would be simply arrival in Kathmandu. After arrival meeting you will be assisted and transferred to the hotel. You can use the day to rest.
Day 02: Kathmandu city, Swoyambhunath stupa and Patan city
The day will begin with the visit of Basantapur Durbar Square, the former palace complex for the Nepalese Royal family. The complex is a rich resource of numerous cultural and religious monuments built during the medieval periods and later. You can explore the square majorly for the Kumari Ghar – the residence of the living goddess “Kumari”, the Hanuman Dhokha museum and Taleju temple.
Then the visit would continue to Swoyambhunath Stupa on the western part of the Kathmandu valley. The stupa represents great harmony between the Hindu and Buddhism religion in the country, with the site being a significant destination for both parties. The stupa though it’s the oldest of the Buddhist monuments in the valley built atop a hill, is more exciting to visit because of lush monkeys who have populated the forest.
In the afternoon, the visit would be to Patan Durbar Square. The compactly constructed complex reflects great example of the blend of a medieval culture with the modern city. Patan Museum, Krishna temple, the Golden temple, etc. are some example of interesting places to view. Overnight stay would be at the hotel.
Day 03: Pashupatinath temple, Boudhnath stupa, Bhaktapur city
The day will begin with visiting the temple of Pashupatinath, which is the holiest of Hindu shrine in Nepal, specially the cremation Ghats.
Then would be the visit of Boudhnath stupa which is set in a pattern of a "Mandala " and is encircled by houses and monasteries where Rinpoches (Buddhist monks) reside. Afternoon visit would be to old Bhaktapur town. BhaktapurDurbar Square through the Golden Gate, Lion Gate, the statue of BhupatindraMalla, the Palace of 55 windows (from outside), the Batsala temple, Bell of the barking dogs, the Pottery square and the Nyatapola temple would be the priority. Then the visit will continue to Dhulikhel to see the amazing snow-fed mountain, which is one of the finest panoramic views in the world. Overnight stay would be at Hotel.
Day 04: Visit Dhulikhel Bazzar. Drive to Nagarkot
Visiting Dhulikhel town in the morning will be done. The oldest area is an assembly of fine old Newari houses, often occupied by the members of the local extended families. It is a very friendly atmosphere despite not having modern furniture, glazed windows or hot water. The most valuable assets of people living there are the windows and beautifully carved doors which are finest examples of traditional Newari craftsmanship.
Afternoon drive to Nagarkot, as it is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district and is famous for its mesmerizing sunrise view of the Himalaya in clear weather. Overnight stay would be at the Hotel.
Day 05: Drive Nagarkot – Chitwan (210 Kms/7 Hrs)
In day 5, we will be driving along scenic mountain highway to Chitwan. After arrival, we will be met and welcomed by the naturalist from the jungle lodge followed by checking in at the resort. Then we will be visiting traditional Tharu village and exploring their lifestyle and culture. Overnight stay would be at Jungle Lodge.
Day 06: Full-day Jungle activities
Day 6 would begin from elephant back safari in the morning through the jungle to see the the Nepalese wildlife such as sloth Bear, wild Boar and the great Asian one-horned Rhinoceros, rhesus Monkey, several species of Deer, the black-faced Langur, the Gaur and the Royal Bengal Tiger, if you are lucky enough. Afternoon, jungle activities would include nature walk for dugout canoe ride to see crocodiles, bird watching and water-birds etc.
The day will end with slide presentation on wildlife of Nepal or Tharu Stick dance. Overnight stay would be at the Jungle Lodge.
Day 07: Drive Chitwan - Lumbini (175 Kms/4.5 hrs)
First we will be checking out from the Jungle Lodge and then drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is famous as the birthplace of Lord Buddha and is sacred. In afternoon, Lumbini garden will be visited (escorted by our driver – no guide) which is as a UNESCO World Heritage. We will be visiting the three sections of Lumbini; the Sacred Garden which includes the Maya Devi temple and the Ashokan Pillar, the monastic zone with monasteries built by various nations, and the Lumbini Village zone. Overnight stay would be at Hotel.
Day 08: Drive Lumbini – Tansen (109 Kms/ approx. 4 hrs)
In day 8, firstly we will be driving to Tansen along a scenic mountain highway. After arrival and checking in at your hotel, you can explore the panoramic view of the high Himalayas, from west to east; the Kanjirowa, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Mansiri, Ganesh and Langtang. Rest of the day will be free. Overnight stay would be at the hotel.
Day 09: Drive Tansen – Pokhara (60 Kms/2.5 hrs)
You can enjoy your morning for personal activites. In the afternoon, we will be driving to Pokhara along a scenic mountain highway. Pokhara is famous for lakes and a close up view of the snow capped Annapurna Range. You can enjoy rest of the day to explore the town on your own. Overnight stay would be at the hotel.
Day 10: Excursion to Sarangkot & Pokhara sightseeing
In the morning, we will be visiting Sarangkot to observe a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna Range. Sarangkot is a popular destination for the nature devotees who endeavor to make the journey uphill and witness an unobstructed view of the Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Dhaulagiri and many others. The popularity of Sarangkot is heightened because of its adventure sports facilities such as paragliding and zip lining. Afternoon visit would be sightseeing tour of Pokhara and its colorful local bazaars which would also include visiting Seti gorge, Devis fall, GupteshworMahadev cave, Bindabashini temple. Overnight stay would be at Hotel.
Day 11: Drive Pokhara - Kathmandu (200 Kms/5 hrs)
On day 11, we will be driving back to Kathmandu retracing the same highway. After arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can enjoy rest of the day for last minute shopping, personal activities or relaxation. Overnight stay would be at the hotel.
Day 12: Departure transfer
You will be transferred to Kathmandu airport in time to connect outbound flight.
