This travel package includes visiting in most highlighted locations in Kathmandu valley. First and foremost, Kathmandu city is the capital city of Nepal which comprises of other two medieval sister cities – Lalitpur, Patan and Bhaktapur.
The major highlights of Kathmandu are Patan Durbar Square, Basantapur Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Along with it, the major centers of attraction are Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath and Boudhanath. Krishna temples, golden temple, mahaboudha stupa of Patan Durbar Square are only few examples of historic richness. Bhaktapur Durbar Square has its famousness for Nyatapola temple, 55 window palaces, The Pottery Square, Changu Narayan Temple.
Kathmandu Valley alone houses 7 of the 8 UNESCO World Heritages Sites – the Durbar Squares of the three cities, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Changu Narayan Temple. It is home to a significantly more rich and abundant culture and history.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
After arriving in Kathmandu, upon arrival meeting, and assistance you would be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for any personal visits. Overnight stay would be at the Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu city, Swoyambhunath stupa & Patan city
Day 2 would begin with morning visit of "Hanuman Dhoka" also known as old Kathmandu Durbar Square with its stone – paved lanes, the temple of the Living Goddess (Kumari who is considered to be the incarnation of the "Virgin Goddess") and colorful bazaars.
Then is Swoyambhunath stupa, which is considered to be the best place to observe the religious harmony in Nepal. It is the destination spot of large numbers of Hindus and Buddhists.
Afternoon visit would be Lalitpur or the "city of beauty" popularly known as Patan city. Patan Durbar Square, intricately stone carved Krishna temple, Golden temple, and many others located in Patan Durbar Square along with local bazaars are the highlights. Overnight stay would be at the hotel.
Day 03: Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Bhaktapur City
It is nothing better than to start a day from Pashupatinath visit. After breakfast, visit the temple of Pashupatinath, situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Pashupatinath temple is the holiest of Hindu shrine in Nepal, specially the cremation Ghats.
Then would be the visit of Boudhnath stupa which is set in a pattern of a "Mandala " and is encircled by houses and monasteries where Rinpoches (Buddhist monks) reside. Afternoon visit would be to old Bhaktapur town. BhaktapurDurbar Square through the Golden Gate, Lion Gate, the statue of BhupatindraMalla, the Palace of 55 windows (from outside), the Batsala temple, Bell of the barking dogs, the Pottery square and the Nyatapola temple would be the priority.
Day 04: Departure transfer
You will be free until you are transferred to international airport for onward journey.
